The home deity, Lord Jagannath, resides in the serene northeast corner room on the first floor, radiating a sense of peace and devotion. Each year, the Basu family, as fervent devotees, splendidly organizes the vibrant 'Ratha Yatra' festival, a celebration that fills the atmosphere with joy and spiritual fervor. It is said that between 1881 and 1885, Sri Ramakrishna actively participated in these grand festivals, immersing himself in the spirit of the occasion. He would joyfully pull the massive Ratha, his heart singing with the uplifting kirtans, and dance with an intoxicating devotion that captivated everyone around him, embodying a true connection with the divine.
